Bonsai
(pronounced bone-sigh) is a very old oriental horticultural
art form. The word Bonsai literally means, in both Chinese
and in the Japanese language, tree-in- a-pot.
Its origins dates back to orient about 2000 years ago, and
today the sublime art of bonsai is practiced all over the
world. It's a careful art, balancing shapes, weight, harmony,
and so on, combining human art with nature's one.
To be considered a true bonsai, isn't enough to put a small
tree in a pot. It becomes a bonsai only after you have shaped,
pruned andgrown it to the desired size, then you can say you
have obtained a bonsai.
Yamadori Bonsai are obtained from wild trees, not grown in
a nursery. The ones grown in nursery are made only to collect
money fast, so they might not have the desired quality that
you can obtain only collecting plants from the wild, then
shaping them as bonsai.
